If I may summarize what you probably wanted to say: You have been here for almost 2 years but do not feel like NG is working out for you. (What you were seeking here is inconsequential at this point of the conversation.) Your art is alright, but for one reason or another, you have not found what you were looking for here. This can happen completely unrelated to your skill.

My advice would be to keep the NG-account (who knows when you'll need it again) but to create accounts on other sites as well. Cara & Tumblr are the only other 'real' options, unless you're doing furry or NSFW.

I feel you might not be interacting as much with the site as you would think. The way I got popular was through interaction with other users, collabs, and such. Don’t delete the account, but make yourself known :D

@Cl0Cl0 Maybe I should rephrase what I meant to say: NG might be gone by this time next year. The financial situation is not "dire", but it is not rosy either. Right now, there are wars, the economical aftermath from the brunt of COVID19 can still be felt, the US government is dismantling and sabotaging its own country on almost every level... These are _dark_ times. NG is run on donations from generous people - but we all have to eat!

Therefore: _Never_ put all your eggs in one basket. Check out where other artists who publish similar works upload their content. Then create accounts in those places as well. That way, even if some of the other places are not to your liking, you will still have 'alternatives'.

And as @Creeperforce24 already said: Social interaction is 'one' way to grow a community, but it's not for everyone and it can become stressful once the "stressful people" on NG cast a covetous eye on you. That's why I usually don't recommend 'socializing'. We have some great users, but we also have no shortage on selfish idiots who just want "fans" but do not have one artistic bone in their body. At times, the votes on their "creative output" will reflect this.
(Just to avoid confusion, because different Portals generate different numbers: Creeperforce24, who you might have checked out already, has 20-ish votes on his Audio Portal submissions. For the Audio Portal those are votes which I would describe as "dreamy". Like with the Art Portal, there's no "mandatory number" of votes, but it takes a lot longer to check out a song compared to drawn or rendered art.)
